I get it, the pressure of every day responsibilities can be a lot. The struggle to balance people-pleasing, boundaries, and self-care. It is common to face anxiety, depression, intrusive thoughts and questions about faith and identity. If this resonates with you, I am happy to help you, as we navigate this area of your life.

Hi, my name is Nia Faye Cureton, a provisionally licensed therapist in the state of North Carolina. My approach is Person-Centered, which means I believe you have the ability to grow and self-actualize with the right tools and resources. I like to construct a safe environment for my clients, as they are on this journey. I like to compare the therapeutic journey to a road trip. Imagine you, the driver, and me the passenger, feeding you your favorite food along the way, as we figure things out together. I use techniques from Cognitive Behavioral therapy in helping reframe your mindset. I use techniques from Faith based counseling for those who are struggling with their faith due to life circumstances, or those who are wanting to know ways they can apply their beliefs and values to their life. I enjoy working with individuals, groups, couples, athletes, collegiate students, and also adults.

I look forward to supporting you on your therapeutic journey!

Lindsay Hicks MS, LCMHC, LCAS-A

I have experience working with a variety of clients in several different settings. I enjoy working with clients from all different walks of life. I enjoy working with clients who are dealing with anxiety and/or depression, clients with body image issues, clients who are struggling with substance use, yourself or a family member, clients who may have been incarcerated or are dealing with the incarceration of a loved one, and clients who are struggling with religious trauma. I enjoy working with clients who are motivated to change old patterns and begin a new life of freedom! Congratulations on taking that first step!
I take a relational approach to therapy and want to use the techniques that are going to benefit the client the most. I use CBT, motivational interviewing, REBT, Strength based, and person-centered therapy to build a unique approach that is going to be best for the individual.
I believe in the power of therapy, and I believe it can help you! Reaching out and asking for help is the hardest step, and I commend your courage for taking that first step. I am here to help and support you through whatever you may be dealing with. Please don’t hesitate to reach out. I am here for you!

Or maybe your life is changing in so many small and big ways that you can’t get a handle on any of it.
And now you’re here. Hi. Welcome!
I don’t have all of the answers, but I am here to help you figure it out. I’m here to 100% support you in living your best life, whatever that might mean for you, in this moment, right now. Please contact me and let’s talk about how to navigate the weirdness of life together.

Caroline Cotto LCSW, LCAS, CCS

Caroline came to do this work by accident, initially working in a psychiatric hospital in the northeast.  After spending some time with the patients, Caroline realized how much she admired and cared for them.  She wanted more impact on their care and quality of treatment so she went back to school to get her Master’s degree in social work.  Caroline has a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science Interdisciplinary from Stony Brook University and a Master of Social Work from East Carolina University.

Caroline has worked in an outpatient mental health clinic, inpatient psychiatric unit, hospital emergency department, in client’s homes and in a detox crisis center.  She also taught as an adjunct instructor for two years at UNCC.

“I need to care about what I do, it’s not just a job.  Maybe cringey but I love that quote, “People don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care.” by Theodore Roosevelt.  It’s a blessing to do this.”
